In SCA factory in town of Sovetsk, Tula Region inauguration ceremony has been held, devoted to start of sanitary and hygiene papers production. The ceremony was attended by SCA Tissue Europe company President Mr. Mats Berencreutz. Tissue making machine capability is estimated to be 30,000 tons; waste paper will be used for production.

Factory in Sovetsk – is the second production facility of company for hygiene products manufacture in Russia and first investment project of SCA in Tula Region. Number of working places – 250. Factory construction was commenced in 2007. This is the first factory in Russia for the last 30 years, built from scratch. At the present moment two production lines are operational in the factory.

OJSC «Globalstroy-Engineering» was acted as an EPC contractor of Factory for production of hygiene paper and articles on its base including works on construction completing. Beginning of project construction – September of 2007, finish – September of 2009.
