OJSC Globalstroy-Engineering is selected to be the General contractor for construction of the PVC complex in Nizhny Novgorod region

OJSC Globalstroy-Engineering is selected to be the General contractor for construction of the polyvinylchloride (PVC) complex in the city Kstovo of Nizhny Novgorod region with capacity of 330 thousand tons per year.

The customer is RusVinyl LLC - a joint Russian-Belgian company. The founders of the joint venture are SIBUR Company - the largest petrochemical holding company in Russia and the Belgian company SolVin- the leading producer of PVC in Europe.

According to Jean-Louis Plyumkok - CEO of RusVinyl – the choice in favor of Globalstroy-Engineering was made on the basis of its successful long-term experience in this field in compliance with international standards of industrial safety, occupational health and protection of environment.

During the press conference on the results of company’s activity in 2010 the President of SIBUR Dmitry Konov noted that involvement of the Russian engineering company in the project was profitable taking into account the cost of services, in so doing Globalstroy-Engineering is much experienced in this field.

The PVC plant will be built according to the latest European technologies (BAT - Best Available Techniques) which provide the necessary line of PVC grades with the low production costs and compliance with the most stringent environmental requirements of the Russian Federation. The plant is to produce 300 thousand tons of suspended PVC, 30 tons of emulsion PVC and 235 tons of caustic soda. Should the current rate of growth of PVC consumption within the CIS continue, the project envisages an opportunity to further expanding of the capacity on the basis of RusVinyl LLC.
